Almost Home

I came upon this scene with the dappled light spilling onto the wet road early one morning as I was returning home from a walk with my dog Bree. I stopped to take it in, the light and shadows, the colours, the haze in the distance and decided to take a photo and attempt to capture what I saw in a painting. This is the result.
